Most uploaded files become available immediately; the MSPEs, however, are held until October 15th for osteopathic residency programs and November 1st for allopathic residency programs.
Program Application Deadlines
ERAS does not set program application deadlines as the individual programs set the deadlines. You should contact programs directly for their deadlines. The ERAS PostOffice, however, closes on May 31st every year to prepare for the next ERAS application season. At that time all of our servers are purged of all applications and supporting documents. ERAS does not maintain records from year to year.

Read the Applicant Instruction Guide for how to register as well as for other
information about the Match, such as updating your NRMP profile, how to plan
for couples matching, what the Match Algorithm is all about, how to enter
your rank order list, etc.
This Office of Medical Education website includes only excerpts from the
NRMP web site and is not complete. Students have considerable personal
responsibility for the match process. Do not leave anything to chance. Read
the instructions on the NRMP web site completely and carefully.
Ask questions---there are no stupid questions. People who have failed to
ask what they thought was a stupid question have ended up scrambling or
attending residencies they didn't remember interviewing at....Although you
have the prime responsibility, you can get help when you need it.
OME staff will be monitoring your registration in the Match and helping with
ERAS.
Who do you ask for what?
· Stephanie Davis will be helping with
ERAS.
· Bonnie Chalson will
be making MSPE (Dean’s Letter) Appointments
· Lorraine Reeve will be finalizing the MSPE’s before they are uploaded into ERAS. (All MSPE’s are uploaded in ERAS on November 1, 2008)
· Marilyn London can answer questions about rank
order lists.
· Your academic advisor and your mentor can also
help.
Advice: Don't leave town for an away elective in early February without
your username and ID for the NRMP site. Even if you have certified your match
list, you might change your mind. No one else can change the information in
your site for you without your giving them permission and the information to
enter the site. It is advisable not to give this information out to anyone
you do not TOTALLY trust, as anyone with this information can enter your rank
order site and change your list even after you have certified it.
During Match week if you need to scramble, you will have to re-enter your myERAS site. You will need your ERAS information to do
this. Hold onto it.
No one but you will know your NRMP and ERAS site passwords.
Away electives are not approved for Match week.
You will receive many emails about the NRMP match and ERAS. READ THEM ALL. A
small change in information might be very important. Do not forward your
official email to other accounts. Yahoo and Hotmail, for example, do not
always accept SB distribution list messages. The sooner you register for
ERAS, the sooner this office can begin to process your supporting materials
for ERAS (e.g. letters of recommendations, photos, etc).
