Wajdy Hailoo is Associate Professor, and Division Head of the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, in the Department of Preventive Medicine. He is board certified in pain medicine and occupational medicine. He is also in charge of the Iraq Grant from USAID.
Dr. Hailoo received his MD from the University of Mosul, Nineva, Iraq. He received his MSc from London University, England, and his DIH from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians, in London, England. He also received a diploma in tropical medicine and hygiene from Liverpool University, England.
Research:
Administrative Position: President of the Stony Brook Occupational Medicine PC, Clinical Practice Management Plan, Chairman of the Employee Health/Infection Control Committee
Consulting: Dr. Hailoo does consultation work for the US Department of Energy, the Long Island Regional Control Center, the Stony Brook University Comprehensive Pain and Rehabilitation Center, and the Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center.
Teaching: Dr. Hailoo is Associate Professor for the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Stony Brook University, and a member of the adjunct faculty at the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
