Department of Preventive Medicine Departmental Research

The Department of Preventive Medicine has an active research program.  The Department is engaged in three different areas of clinical research:

• Epidemiology
            prevalence, case-control, cohort, natural history studies

• Clinical Trials
            Coordinating Center for NIH trials, Women's Health Initiative, SELECT, randomized community intervention trials

• Other
             Genetic, family registry, clustering/mapping, General Clinical Research Center, Biostatistical Consulting Core
