To the New York Radiological Society Executive Committee

Recent Events:
Nine residents from New York State attended the ACR Annual Meeting this year with sponsorship from the NYSRS (3), LIRS (1), Montefiore (2), Northshore (1), Cornell (1), and Beth Israel (1).
The NYSRS Resident Summer Social Event was held Thursday, July 19th, 2007 at Murphy’s Law in Manhattan. Successful event in terms of resident attendance (~50 residents) and Executive Committee member attendance.
Looking Ahead:
1) The Resident Fellowship/Career Downstate Workshop Day is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th, 2007 at Lenox Hill. The speakers have been finalized (David Kuschner has
agreed to be our guest speaker). We are planning on changing the format at lunchtime to encourage dialogue between residents and the NYSRS Executive Committee Members.
2) The Resident Fellowship/Career Upstate Workshop Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the University of Rochester Medical Center (The Natapow
Room, 1-9545) 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642. Please RSVP samel_madoff@urmc.rochester.edu
3) The NYSRS resident/fellow section and Dr. Abramson are actively seeking candidates for the Secretary/Treasurer position for next year.
