Call Schedule

Daily Floor Schedule

Night Float: Saturday through Thursday 9:00pm-7:30am

  Mon-Thurs Fri Sat-Sun
7:00am Floor Intern picks up patients: short call every 4th night Floor Intern picks up patients 7:30am-9:00pmFloor Intern picks up patients
5:00pm Short Call begins; *Friday long call begins 5:00pm-7:30am Either Saturday or Sunday off
9:00pm Short Call ends; Night Float begins Night Float begins
*Each resident will have 1 Friday long call during each month of floor time. During other nights of the week, a night float team assumes all patient care responsibilities.


ROTATION CALL
Floor teams Every 4th night: short call (5:00pm-9:00pm)Either Saturday or Sunday off
Cardiology Interns: 1 week night shift (7:30pm-7:30am)
3 weeks day shift: every 3rd night-short call (5:00pm-7:30pm); Friday off.
Residents: 2 weeks of nights; 2 weeks of days; (7:30am-7:30pm or 7:30pm-7:30am) Sun-Fri; Sat off
Hem/Onc Interns: Mon-Fri no call; Saturday or Sunday off.
Residents: one 12 hour call on Saturday (7:30am-7:30pm); Saturday or Sunday off.
CCU Residents: 7:30am-5:00pm; q3 (7:30am-7:30am); Saturday or Sunday off.
ICU Interns: every 3rd night (7:30am-7:30am); Saturday or Sunday off.
Residents: 2 weeks of nights; 2 weeks of days ( 7:30am-7:30pm); Saturday off
Electives/Outpatient 4 to 5 Saturday long unit calls and MAR (7:00am-7:00am) per R-3 year
Day Float Residents:12:30pm-9:00pm Monday through Friday; Saturday 7:30am-7:30pm or 7:30pm-7:30am (alternates with H/O); Sunday off
Night Float Saturday through Thursday 9:00pm-7:30am; No Friday call
NB: Our evening and overnight hours are covered by a combination of short call, long call and night float. During three years of medical training, each resident will have approximately eight-ten weeks of night float.
